Annette has spent the majority of her career in human resource management, having worked as a human resources manager for a variety of companies including Rank Xerox (UK) Ltd, Colgate-Palmolive (UK) Ltd and Coca-Cola Great Britain Ltd, and as human resources director for Promethean Ltd and ETS Global BV, a subsidiary of Educational Testing Service (ETS).

Annette is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), the professional body for UK human resource practitioners. She lives in London, England.

The Illustrator: Catalina Estrada

Born and raised in the countryside of Colombia, Catalina Estrada has been living and working as an illustrator in Barcelona, Spain, since 1999.

Catalina's exuberant and colourful artwork combines the flavour of traditional folk art and contemporary Asian influences with a pop culture edge. The ever-present botanical and floral shapes from earth, sea, and sky are reminiscent of the decorative Arts & Crafts movement, whether seen in her wonderland settings or intricate repeat patterns and icons. Catalina's enchanting characters and fantasy lands have cross-generational appeal and are inspired by travel, literature, music, fairytales, family, and her childhood experiences, playing in the mountains of Colombia.
